A track inspired by his children, “Hey Daddy,” is a fan favorite on the album. The record features projects with both of his daughters, Noah and Miley Cyrus. Miley is featured on his track, “Stand.” Cyrus describes the song by saying, “I have a song on Set The Record Straight with Miley called ‘Stand.’ The song really relates to the world we live in today. The song is also a great representation of who Miley is.”
With Noah, they created an EDM remix of “Tulsa Time.” Other collaborations on the album include Joe Perry, George Jones, Loretta Lynn, Bryan Adams, Glenn Hughes, Jencarlos Canela, and Ronnie Milsap.
The album includes three new remixes and renditions of “Achy Breaky Heart,” his most famous track of his career. It also has new renditions of “I Want My Mullet Back” and Johnny Cash’s “Folsom Prison Blues.”
In honor of Veterans Day, Cyrus has also re-recorded his patriotic track, “Some Gave All.” He wanted to offer the download of the song for free, enabling people to easily send the track to Veterans. Cyrus explains, “This Veterans Day weekend we need to honor and support our veterans. I’ve re-recorded ‘Some Gave All’ as a tribute to veterans and their families. With everything going on in the world right now, it’s important not to forget those who’ve fought and died for our country. I re-recorded it and made it available as a free download so you can send it to a veteran and thank them for their service.” Get “Some Gave All” on his website here.
